We work with you to identify a self-guided hike experience in Vancouver’s Big Backyard that best aligns with your experience level and expectations. We focus on hikes and walks along Vancouver’s North Shore, the Sea-to-Sky highway (Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton), as well as the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island.  We are confident that we can find an incredible route for you within a few hours drive of the city.  We match your skill level, budget and your ideal schedule with our our knowledge of ideal routes, days required, and prevailing weather.  We can suggest day hikes, overnight hikes or multi-day hikes.  And you decide if you want to camp, or base yourself in a hotel/B&B.

Then, with you, we develop:

  • a plan and schedule,
  • ideal route that everyone agrees upon,
  • menu planning and food,
  • gear selection, transportation logistics
